Comparing Assessly to another tool

Six pages, one for each tool people ask us about. Each puts the two side by side: price, a capability matrix, where they are stronger and where we are, and what we would check if we were the ones choosing.

Everyone, on the rows that decide most choices

Every column is read at that tool's first paid plan. Ours is computed from the plans the product enforces. Theirs are read from their public pages, dated and sourced on each page. A question mark means not verified, not absent.

How these pages are written

Comparison pages are usually brochures with a rival name on them. These are held to three rules, by tests that fail the build.

  • Read from their public pages, on a date

Every claim about another tool comes from its pricing and product pages or a review site, with the sources linked and the day we read them printed.

  • Their strengths first

Each page names at least two things the other tool does better before it names where we win. A page that finds nothing to admire is not a comparison.

  • Our column cannot be tidied

The Assessly side of every table is computed from the plan gates in the product. Move a capability between plans and the cell moves with it.

This is our own site, so read it that way. What we say about the other tool is read from its public pages on the date shown beside the table, with the sources linked, and we name where it beats us before we name where we win. Every number about Assessly is read from the product rather than written by hand. If we got something about them wrong, write to us and we will fix it.
