One question, one yardstick, three very different answers.

Everyone has a good resume. What separates the three answers below is not experience, it is what each person does with a concrete situation.

A customer cancels and you have 15 minutes with them. What is your priority?

Real question from the Customer Success template. Example answers.

Ana Prado4 min 02

In those 15 minutes I am not trying to win them back. I want to know when the decision was actually made, because if it was two months ago then the problem is not what they are about to tell me. I have seen a case where the trigger was the sponsor leaving and nobody on our side noticed.

Treated the cancellation as information for the team rather than a sale to rescue.

Rafael Lima2 min 18

I would try to understand the reason for the cancellation and present the improvements already on the roadmap, to see whether they reconsider. If not, I would ask for honest feedback so we can improve the product.

Plausible but generic. No concrete case and no question they would actually ask.

No integrity signals
Julia Serra0 min 09

I would listen to the customer carefully and work to align expectations transparently, maintaining the relationship and demonstrating empathy in a proactive and collaborative way.

01

Build the assessment for the role

Start from a ready template, available in English and Portuguese, and adjust the questions. Or build your own from scratch, by hand or by asking Assessly to draft the questions from the job description.

The template questions are situations from the job, not trivia. Swap them, delete them, add your own.

02

Send a link

A public link, with a password if you want one and an expiry date. You send it wherever you already talk to candidates.

03

Read what Assessly already read

It transcribes video and audio, scores every answer from 0 to 100 and writes the reason next to it. You confirm, change the score or reject, and who reviewed it is recorded.

You read on your own time instead of booking a screening call to find out the same thing.

18 question types, grouped by what you are trying to find out.

What Assessly does on its own, and what stays yours.

Assessly does on its own

  • Marks the questions that have a right answer.
  • Transcribes video and audio, and detects which language was spoken.
  • Scores from 0 to 100 and writes the reason beside it.
  • Rates the risk of cheating, from none to critical: text pasted in one go, AI writing patterns, tab switching, instant answers.

You decide

  • The final score and the status. Nobody is passed or rejected automatically.
  • You change any score and write the reason. Who reviewed it is recorded.
  • Which questions go in and how much each one is worth.
  • How long candidate data is kept, and the consent text they read.

On the behavioural test. The Big Five has 21 questions and returns 12 traits. It compares a person against themselves rather than against other people, so it does not rank candidates. We say so on the result screen itself.

On candidate data. Consent is stored with the exact text the person read. They can request a copy or deletion through their own link, without going through you.

On the other side, it is just a link.

The more a hiring process asks for before it starts, the more people drop out halfway. Yours will not ask for an account, an install, or anything beyond the answers.

  • No account, nothing to install. The candidate opens it in a phone or desktop browser and starts.
  • Assessments in 12 languages. Questions can be written in any of the 12, from Spanish to Japanese. The screen the candidate sees is English or Portuguese.
  • They can stop and come back. Progress is saved, so a meeting halfway through does not cost what they already answered.
